SFC Jerrold Laurent
Military Science Instructor
Sergeant First Class (SFC) Jerrold W. Laurent Jr. was born in Litchfield, Illinois on August 21, 1989. He graduated from Mount Olive High School in May 2007 and entered the United States Army on June 26, 2008. He graduated from Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia as an Infantryman.
SFC Laurent’s stateside tours have included C Co 1-3 IN (The Old Guard), Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Virginia; A Co 2-12 IN, Fort Carson, Colorado; B & D Co 1-21 IN, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; B Co 1-17 IN, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington, B Co, 1-504 PIR, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, G-33 CUOPS – HQ, FORSCOM, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and University of Connecticut ROTC. He has deployed twice to Iraq for seventeen months and three times to Afghanistan for a total of nineteen months. He has served in every position from Rifleman to First Sergeant, Operations NCO, and currently serves as an MS-III Instructor at The University of Connecticut ROTC.

SFC Laurent is also a noble member of the Order of Saint Maurice – Centurion & Legionnaire, the Order of Saint Michael Airborne – Angelic.
SFC Laurent’s education includes the Warrior Leadership Course – CL, Advanced Leadership Course, Maneuver Senior Leaders Course – DLA & CL, Master Leaders Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Company Team Leader Course, Pashto 09PV-AFPAK-PH1 Language Course, Airborne Course, Air Assault Course, Combatives Level 1 & 2, Unit Prevention Leader, Pathfinder Course, Equal Opportunity Leader’s Course, Advanced Situational Awareness – Basic, and the Javelin Gunner Course. His civilian education includes an Associate Degree in Business from American Military University and 105 credits towards his bachelor’s degree in business management from American Military University.
