UConn Army ROTC cadets conduct physical training (PT) three times a week in the morning before classes, with one day being dedicated to rucking with a 35lb load. This conditions cadets to meet the physical fitness standards of the army, training them to meet and exceed the standard for the Army Fitness Test (AFT) and the Army 12-mile foot march.
