CPT Chioma Odocha

Assistant Professor of Military Science


Captain Chioma Odocha hails from Columbia, Maryland. She attended the United States Military Academy at West Point in West Point, New York. While at USMA, she earned a B.S. in Engineering Psychology. CPT Odocha attended Quartermaster Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Lee, Virginia.

CPT Odocha was first assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team at Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 2016-2019. She served as the Delta Forward Support Company, 5-73rd Cavalry Squadron Distribution and Maintenance Platoon Leader, as well as the Maintenance Control Officer. After 5-73rd Cavalry Squadron, CPT Odocha served as the Executive Officer for Hotel Company, 2-505th Parachute Infantry Regiment. In 2019, she attended the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course at Fort Lee, Virginia. Upon graduation, CPT Odocha was assigned to the 101st Division Sustainment Brigade as the Support Operations Distribution Integration Branch Plans Officer within the 101st Special Troops Battalion. CPT Odocha deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Spartan Shield and Operation Inherent Resolve. CPT Odocha has been the Bastogne Field Maintenance Company Commander since May of 2023. Her next assignment will be at the University of Connecticut as an Assistant Professor of Military Science.

CPT Odocha’s awards and decorations include the: Meritorious Service Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (with two oak leaf cluster) National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, Columbian Parachutist Badge, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold), and Air Assault Badge.
